Where You Will Paint:

Doolin scenery, ireland

We have chosen Doolin as a base for the Ireland in Color Workshop, offering pristine views of the ocean, Aran Islands, Doonagore Castle, the docks, rolling hills, pastures and livestock. The location is gorgeous but also functional, putting you within a short walking distance to the docks as well as the pubs within the village, world-reknown for their traditional Irish music each night.

While the village itself gives you plenty of scenery and different landscapes to hone your painting, it will also give your non-painting companions a chance to get out and explore. Dotted with walking trails, just minutes from the Cliffs of Moher and a short drive to the Burren, Doolin offers your companions a bit more of Ireland than they might imagine. We are planning a one-day trip to Galway to explore and shop, a stop at Poulnabrone Dolem and the Burren Perfumery as well as a hike to the awe-inspiring Cliffs of Moher.

The final night at Dromoland was selected to make your last night mor relxing and enjoyable without having everyone at the airport at the same time, waiting for flights to depart throughout the day. Enjoy the grounds of Dromoland for one last day of painting, sketching and photographing this amazing castle hotel -- the pond, golf course or walled gardens. There will be several departures for the airport the following morning to ensure no one is rushed or arrives too early.
