Travel Photo Albums - Ireland & Beyond
Each year I visit Ireland and each year I come back with hundreds (literally) of photos to add to my collection, capturing everything
from the major sites and attractions, castles and ruins, and even my dinner plate! I've started to organize these into logical photo
albums for everyone to explore Ireland with me.
Adding to Ireland, I typically travel to two or more other European countries each year to ensure I stay knowledgable on other
cities, modes of transportation, different vacation packages and everything else in between. I'll post those here as well and who
knows, it may entice you to explore another country next.
Ireland Photos: My Favorite Irish Sites
Mannings Emporium - We spend hours with Val Manning, sipping wines and sampling Irish cheese... rain or shine!
Cliffs of Moher - My absolutely favorite Irish sites despite not being allowed to go to the edge these days.
Cliffs of Moher - The Cliffs never disappoint, rain or shine... fog or completely clear.
Doolin Village - Such a quaint, quintessential Irish town... guaranteed music at one of the pubs each night.
O'Connor's Pub in Doolin - One of three pubs offering Traditional Irish Music Sessions, mostly locals during the off-season.
Dromoland Castle - This is the perfect last night for those leaving from Shannon Airport.
Temple Bar - Great place to hang out for hours, eating, drinking and socializing... but not for hotels as it can be quite noisy.
Glengarriff - This small Irish town sits on the water and offers great local touring -- and kayaking!
Giant's Causeway - Amazing stone structures and folklore abound in Antrim.
Kilkea Castle - When this was a hotel, it was on our Haunted Castles tour and this photo shows why... very haunting!
Mizen Head - The southern-most point of Ireland? The day started out foggy with no visibility and within an hour, this is our view!
Ring of Kerry - Waterville is actually quite stunning in the off-season, with quiet walks on the beach in the morning.
Waterford Castle - Situated on it's own private island, Waterford is the Deluxe castle of all Castles in Ireland.
Slieve League - These Cliffs rival the Cliffs of Moher but more remote so when you're in Donegal, please make sure you stop by.
Dunguaire Castle - Offering nightly banquets and daily tours, this castle sits right on the water in the Burren.
