Traveling to Ireland is not only a short flight but there is very little documentation required, just a valid US Passport! No Visa or other documents are needed however your Passport should be valid for at least 6 months past your return date.
With a valid US Passport, you are allowed to stay in Ireland for up to three (3) months without restriction.
